Before you write
We cannot give legal advice or evaluate a crash, claim or case. BTT Road & Legal is a publication, not a law firm. If you need legal help after a collision, your state bar association runs a lawyer referral service that can connect you with a licensed attorney.
Sending documents. Do not send medical records, Social Security numbers or other sensitive personal information by email. If you have documents relevant to a story, describe them in your first message and an editor will reply with how to share them.
Quoting and citing us. Reporters and researchers may quote and cite our work with attribution and a link. Suggested citation formats are on the research hub.
